Amadeu Delshams
- My current position is Professor of Applied Mathematics.
- I received my Ph.D. from the Universitat de Barcelona in Mathematics, 1983,
under the supervision of Carles Simó, and I have been the thesis advisor of 12
Ph.D. students.
- My
papers (and
preprints) have a good deal with Dynamical systems:
Effective stability of Hamiltonian and reversible systems,
whiskered tori, hyperbolic invariant objects,
splitting of separatrices, Arnold diffusion.
- I am a member of the
UPC Dynamical Systems Group, which is a subset of the
UB-UPC Dynamical Systems Group.
This is a large group of researchers in Dynamical Systems based
in Barcelona, with a wide set of interests.
- I am also a member of the
DANCE network,
which gathers a quite large number of Spanish researchers in Dynamical Systems.
- I am a member of the Editorial Board of several Journals:
Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems,
Gaceta de la RSME,
Journal of Nonlinear Science,
NoDEA Nonlinear Differential Equations and Applications,
Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems.
-
I am/was involved in organizing several events:
the CRM Research Program SIMS08,
the AIMS Conferences,
the first Iberian Mathematical Meeting,
the Carles Simó Fest,
the LlaveFest,
the DANCE meetings Ddays,
the Spanish meetings Nolineal,
the DANCE Winter Schools
RTNS, the Jornades d'Interacció entre Sistemes Dinàmics i EDP's
JISD,
ICIAM2019, as well as other
events of our group.
-
I am currently a member of the Laboratory of Geometry and Dynamical Systems at UPC-EPSEB.
