H3(K3)+
Degree = 4, Diameter = 6; Order = 745; Moore bound=1457;
Jitendra Prajapati (Indian Institute of Technology Madras, 23f1001521@ds.study.iitm.ac.in; August 9, 2026) obtained this graph with AI coding tools from H3(K3) -- see below-- by five rounds of local modification (degree-preserving vertex insertions plus 2-switches), so all the intermediate graphs are also (4,6)-graphs. The exact edge changes from the original graph 740CG_adjlist.txt can be found at: https://github.com/infinityscroll/degree-diameter-n46.

Former result, Order = 2778
Graph constructed with the help of AI tools by Petrit Isufi (isufi.petrit@proton.me; Wuppertal, Germany. August 27, 2026).
This graph comes from the construction below [PiGoMiPe09]: the split Cayley hexagon Hq with the Kq-1 block replacement. After reimplementing it as a Python module that reproduces the published value (5,6) = 2772 exactly, a search over the free parameters of this construction is performed: the labels assigned to each block and the cyclic matching phases between block pairs. Giving each block one label more than the published version, and letting a search pick the phases, yields the new result of 2778. The final graph has 2778 nodes and 6945 edges, is 5-regular with avg. dist.: 5.194755

One new vertex is added to the 7937-vertex graph H5(K4)++ (below): three of its edges are deleted and the new vertex is joined to their six endpoints. Relative to P. Isufi's 7,932-vertex graph, the whole chain deletes 15 edges and adds six vertices, joined to the 30 freed endpoints and to each other by three edges; the graph is 6-regular.
