Short Biography

- Graduate in Mathematics, Facultat de Matemàtiques i Estadística of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2000.
- Doctor in Applied Mathematics by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, April 15, 2005: the PhD. Thesis, entitled Some digital signature schemes with collective signers, is available here.
- From July 2001 to April 2005, PhD Student and Lecturer in the research group on Mathematics Applied to Cryptography, in the Department of Applied Mathematics IV of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with a FPI grant of the Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología of Spain.
- From June 15th to December 22th, 2003, short research stay in the Cryptography group (GRECC) of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS, Paris).

- From May 2005 to October 2006, I enjoyed an ERCIM Post-Doctoral Fellowship: 9 months in the laboratory LIX of the École Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France), and 9 months in the institute CWI (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

- From January 2007 to December 2008, I enjoyed a Juan de la Cierva Fellowship, for post-doctoral research in the institute IIIA-CSIC.

- From January 2009 to July 2015, I enjoyed a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship, for post-doctoral research at DMA-IV (UPC).

Research interests

- Cryptography: signature schemes, encryption schemes, provable security, identity-based cryptography, secret sharing, multiparty computation...
- Privacy in databases.

Organization / Books

- I was the Program Co-Chair of the 7th workshop on Data Privacy Management, DPM 2012. The Springer LNCS proceedings are available here (printed) or here (digital).

- Along with Jordi Nin, we edited a book for Springer, entitled 'Privacy and Anonymity in Information Management Systems: New Techniques for New Practical Problems'. More information is available here.
